For well over a year, Jake's music has been circulating on four British television channels and he has received Radio spins in both the UK and the U.S. Jake took the time out of his busy schedule to have a chat with Chas, Here the interview for you to all read.

This is Chas from Atlantic Radio Uk and I’m here to interview the very talented rapper Jake Aldridge

Hello Jake thanks for taking the time to do this interview and to let all the Atlantic Radio Uk listeners know about you and your music.

Chas - Can you tell the listeners where you’re from?

Jake - I was born and raised in Suffolk.

Chas - When and how did you first become interested in music?

Jake - I think I was heavily influenced by my brother’s taste in music; he’s older than me and was always into Hip Hop when we are growing up. Imagine what my music would be like now if he was into Jazz or Classical hey?

Chas - How long have you been writing music?

Jake - I’d say I’ve been writing since 2004.

Chas - Does anyone in your family play music?

Jake - Not that I know of actually, my Mum likes to sing, but not many like to listen ;-)

Chas - What are your musical influences?

Jake - I’m a huge fan of Tupac Shakur, I love his music and admired his character too. I like Nas a lot as well.

Chas - If you could sing with one artist or band who would it be and why?

Jake - That’s such a good question... I guess I would have loved to have worked with Whitney Houston. Maybe a slick R&B number with her would have been nice. I’m a huge fan of hers.

Chas - What else do you do besides play music?

Jake - To be honest... not all that much these days. I do like to bowl though :)

Chas - Were you influenced by old records & tapes? Which ones?

Jake - I used to love the Tupac Greatest Hits CD, I Remember that getting pretty worn out in our house. I loved Dr Dre 2001 too.

Chas - Who are your favourite musicians? Groups? CD's?

Jake - My I.pod is full of artists such as Nelly, Lloyd Banks, Nas, B.O.B, 50 cent, Eminem, Whitney Houston, AIanis Morissette, Alicia Keys, I could go on and on I think.

Chas - Have you been in competitions?

Jake - Sure, this year my fans voted two of my songs onto a couple of American based ‘Coast to Coast’ Mixtapes. Which was really cool.

Chas - Do you get nervous before a performance?

Jake - Yeh I definitely get nervous, even before releasing a song to the public too. No matter how happy I may be with it, I often second guess myself at the last minute.

Chas - What advice would you give to beginners who are nervous?

Jake - That you have to understand that not everyone is going to like you. It doesn't matter how good you are... The music industry isn't all sunshine and rainbows so you have to be thick skinned, and more importantly - believe.

Chas - Tell us some great artist’s/producers that you have worked with?

Jake - Oh I’ve worked so many talented people – Steve Moyse, Sam Hadfield, Derrell Ballard-Levy, Lisa Ambrose, ACJ Beats, Astonish the Composer, Kelly Jenns, SmOkeyPro, Andre beat... That list could go on too.

Chas -  Where do you hope to be in say 5 years or more?

Jake - I’d like to have a much larger fan base and be making a living out of my music, whether that is as a writer or a performer.

Chas - If listeners want to get in touch with you or want to hear more of your music, how can they get in touch?

Jake - They should check out the following links:

Jake - Yeh, I’d really like to say a massive thank you to yourself, You have always been a huge supporter of my music. I do really appreciate that and will always do my best to help promote the station myself.
